On 20th of September, 2017, the official opening ceremony of the Colloquium of the Study Committee (SC) D2 CIGRE in a field of “Information systems and Telecommunications” was held, the key event focused on information technologies for the electric power industry.
The Colloquium is held in order to exchange knowledge and experience between energy companies, equipment manufacturers, scientific, technical and engineering organizations from all over the world. The main value of this event is that its participants receive a unique opportunity to have a look at results of introducing of practical developments.
Within the event Kharlamov Vasily Anatolevich, Head of Unitel Engineering Equipment Department, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, made a presentation “Point-to-multipoint channels over digital networks for relay protection and automation” in a field of “Highly reliable communication infrastructure for traditional and new applications in EPI” theme.
The D2 Colloquium, for the first time in the newest history of Russia held in our country, attracted significant interest of international and Russian specialists. Amongst the participants and speakers there were more than 150 experts from 26 countries. These are representatives of the world's largest electric power companies and leading equipment manufacturers.
