Routing and Switching Equipment

Commissioning services means a complex of works on the Customer’s site(s). A scope of the work provided in respect to commissioning the routing and switching equipment as follows:

 

1. Preparatory work

1.1. Development and coordination of data transmission logic.

1.2. Development of programs and methods for acceptance tests of routing and switching equipment.

 

2. Visual inspection and installation check

2.1. Visual inspection: the integrity of the design of the cabinet and equipment mounted in the cabinet.

2.2. Verification of compliance with the equipment completeness of the equipment specification (contractual, design).

2.3. Verifying the correct installation of equipment.

2.4. Verify the correct connection of external connections (optical and electrical).

 

3. Turn on the equipment

3.1. Checking the voltage of the power supply at the equipment power supply inputs

3.2. Turning on the equipment.

3.3. Check the correctness of the turning on of equipment.

3.4. Check equipment control.

 

4. Retrofitting equipment (if necessary)

4.1. Installation of modules in existing equipment in accordance with project documentation

4.2. Configuring installed modules in hardware.

 

5. Local tests

5.1. Initial configuration of routing and switching equipment.

5.2. Verify that the secondary power source is functioning correctly.

5.3. Verifying the proper functioning of routing and switching equipment.

5.4. Measurement of the transmitter optical power level (for optical modules).

5.5. Measurement of optical power at receiving end (for optical modules).

5.6. Configuration of routing and switching equipment in accordance with the project documentation.

 

6. Complex tests

6.1. Check the availability of the main and backup equipment routing and switching on the site.

6.2. Check the availability of terminal equipment connected to the main and backup routing and switching equipment.

6.3. The organization of data channels in accordance with the agreed schemes.

6.4. Check the availability of equipment routing and switching RDU / ODU, NOC / ROC through communication data channels.

6.5. Verification of switching to a reserve (in case of using redundancy schemes).

6.6. Adding new network elements to the control system (if necessary).

6.7. Testing data transmitting channels.

 

7. Executive documentation

7.1. Preparation of acceptance testing protocols for routing and switching equipment according to the Unitel Engineering type form.

7.2. Preparation of addressing and routing tables for equipment.

7.3. Preparing hardware configuration files.

7.4. Preparation of passports for organized data transmission channels.

7.5. Registration of the Act of the executed works.
